Sara Spooner,
MSW, LICSW, CCM
Sara Spooner is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Certified Case Manager with over 15 years of experience as a social worker within healthcare delivery systems and in outpatient settings providing advocacy and support to the commonwealth’s most vulnerable populations. As a Guardian and Conservator Sara has focused her practice on providing support to individuals with Traumatic or Acquired Brain Injury and/or Co-Occurring Major Mental Illness. She is well versed in the application process for subsides and locating available resources for behaviorally complex clients or clients with legal system involvement including clients with SORB requirements. She is a member in good standing of the Aging Life Care Association, the National Association of Social Workers, and holds a Forensic Social Work Certificate from the National Association of Forensic Social Workers.

LISA JUDKINS, LMHC, NCG, CCM
Lisa Judkins LMHC, NCG , CCM is a master’s level licensed mental health counselor, nationally certified guardian and certified case manager from the Central Massachusetts area. Provided guardianship and fiduciary services for 13 years before becoming a partner at Spooner Guardianship Services in the Fall of 2023. The choice to join Sara Spooner and Ryan Bradley was born of a need for increased support to continue the important work of caring for clients in various capacities.
Before Lisa began her career in the guardianship space she had spent 20 years in the mental health world of non-profits, working with children, families and adults in hospital inpatient ,residential, and outpatient settings. She has a bachelor’s degree from Anna Maria College, and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Anna Maria College and Framingham State University. Her varied experience allows her to navigate the complex world of guardianship/ conservatorship with the demands for clinical and systems knowledge.
She served on the board of the Massachusetts Guardianship Association for 6 years and worked with the Public Guardianship Services program to provide clinician supervision to their care managers in 2023. Lisa has also had the opportunity to supervise interns from the Anna Maria College Master’s in Social work program for the last several years. Lisa was certified as a case manager in 2024.
Ryan Bradley
Ryan comes to Spooner Guardianship Services after working as an Account Manager for a prominent Medicaid Specialty Company. He brings unparalleled knowledge of MassHealth/Medicaid eligibility criteria and application process. He serves as the client and facility point of contact for all applications, appeals, and redeterminations. Ryan's experience interfacing with Mass Health Caseworkers and Board of Hearing Officers is instrumental in securing insurance benefits for clients as well as working with facilities to ensure appropriate and timely payment for long term care services.

SOCIAL WORKERS
A Social Worker for a guardian company plays a critical role in providing support, advocacy, and case management services for individuals under guardianship. Guardian's are often tasked with managing the personal, and healthcare needs of vulnerable adults, such as the elderly, disabled, or incapacitated individuals. Social workers provide both emotional and practical support to these individuals, while also ensuring that they receive the services and protections they need. Our Social Work Case Managers assist with the day-to-day management of client needs, oversee their physical and emotional health, assist with complex medical decisions and implementation of care, crisis intervention, and ensuring accurate and timely court ordered monitoring and reporting requirements
