Sara Spooner,

Sara Spooner is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Certified Case Manager with over 15 years of experience as a social worker within healthcare delivery systems and in outpatient settings providing advocacy and support to the commonwealth’s most vulnerable populations. As a Guardian and Conservator Sara has focused her practice on providing support to individuals with Traumatic or Acquired Brain Injury and/or Co-Occurring Major Mental Illness. She is well versed in the application process for subsides and locating available resources for behaviorally complex clients or clients with legal system involvement including clients with SORB requirements. She is a member in good standing of the Aging Life Care Association, the National Association of Social Workers, and holds a Forensic Social Work Certificate from the National Association of Forensic Social Workers.

Ryan Bradley
Ryan comes to Spooner Guardianship Services after working as an Account Manager for a prominent Medicaid Specialty Company. He brings unparalleled knowledge of MassHealth/Medicaid eligibility criteria and application process. He serves as the client and facility point of contact for all applications, appeals, and redeterminations. Ryan's experience interfacing with Mass Health Caseworkers and Board of Hearing Officers is instrumental in securing insurance benefits for clients as well as working with facilities to ensure appropriate and timely payment for long term care services.

Jessie mayes,

Jessie Mayes has over 20 years experience as a social worker in a variety of settings including inpatient nursing facilities, consulting services and elder protective services. She is a member in good standing of the National Association of Social Workers, holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and is both a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Case Manager. In her role with Spooner Guardianship Services, Jessie provides care management and social work services to clients in transition, advocating for client goals and supporting clients in their return to the community from inpatient hospitalization of rehabilitation stays.

Bonnie Bernard is a Licensed Social Worker with over 20 years experience working with frail elders and adults with disabilities. She brings a positive attitude, empathic nature and a strong desire to improve the lives of those she serves. Bonnie graduated from St. Anselm College with a BA in Psychology before going on to get her License in Social Work. Throughout her career, she has been a strong patient care advocate as a community care manager, support group facilitator and as the Director of Social Services in several long term care facilities. Bonnie joined Spooner Guardianship in 2022 as a per diem social worker and in 2023 as a full-time social worker/case manager for the Worcester/Norfolk area.

Thomas topham
Tom comes to Spooner Guardianship with over 20 years in the Automotive Industry as an Expert Volvo Technician. He is a residential Locksmith and is responsible for all aspects of property management prior to and during the sale process including, but not limited to: completing minor repairs, winterizing and de-winterizing properties, coordinating needed services and large repairs/remodels and conducting clean-outs of homes and apartments. Tom serves as the primary point of contact for all auxiliary services and providers to ensure client properties are well maintained and secured.

Johanna Delaney has worked as a management team member for long-term care facilities for over 10 years. She has her Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She is motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful. She brings expertise in human resources, long-term care office management and administrative reporting; she serves as the Coordinator of Accounts Receivable. She excels in ensuring proper billing for each client as well as maintaining exemplary account management.
